Do you need an appointment for a Wine Tasting?

Generally, no.  BUT, If you have a large group of people (10 or more), we certainly appreciate some advance notice of your approximate time of arrival.

Why do I have to sit down for a tasting?

Well, you don’t have to, but we certainly prefer it, and we think you will too if you give it a try!  Attimo means “in the moment”, and we want the moment you spend with us to be special and relaxing.

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes, certainly.  We do have a full kitchen with a menu, but our guests are always allowed to bring their own foods too.

Do you give tours of the vineyard & winery operations?

Not right now.  Some of the winemaking is done in our home, and that area is not set-up for public touring at this time.

Can I bring my dog?

Well, no.  We love dogs, and actually have 2 border collies here in the vineyard to keep deer & other critters out.  However, our insurance does not allow other animals, since it puts us at a risk if anything were to occur.

What are your Hours of Operation?

Monday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 11am—6pm.  And Sunday 1pm—6pm.

Can I Volunteer?

We are always looking for people that want to help out.  However, for insurance purposes, you must be paid in some way by Attimo Winery.  Talk to us about what you’d like to do!

What are the Tasting Fees?

Our Standard Tasting is $5.00, You can taste more (Reserve Tasting ) for $8.00 or less (Limited Tasting) for $3.00.

Where do you make the wine?

A majority of our wine is made on-site.  In our house basement, in fact.  A few of our wines are made in Charlottesville at Virginia Wine Works.

Where do the grapes come from?

Properties that we own & lease.  We have 10.5 acres of vines here, and additional acreage  in other parts of Virginia that we own or lease.

Why do you close at 6:00pm each night?

Primarily, because we are a farm, not a bar.  As a farm-winery, we must follow the same rules as other farms in Virginia—including limited hours of operation.

Do you have a license for music, TV & Movies?

Yes we do.

How long does a Wine Tasting take?

That varies significantly.  However, we can do a tasting in as little as 10 minutes or as long as an hour.  Let your server know if you have time constraints or if you prefer to space it out a bit.

Who cooks the food?

Many different people work in the kitchen, so it depends on the day.  Amie Lafon (our kitchen manager) does a majority of the food preparation.  Melissa & Rik work with Amie to plan the food menus and recipes for each event.

Do you take Credit Cards?

Sure do.

Where can you ship?

Each State has different rules that must be followed, and different fees.  However, we can ship to many states, so give us a call to see if we can help you out.

Can you rent the building for private functions?

Absolutely!  Check out the page about Private Events.
