faqimgDo you need an appointment for a Wine Tasting?
Generally, no. BUT, If you have a large group of people (10 or more), we certainly appreciate some advance notice of your approximate time of arrival.

Why do I have to sit down for a tasting?
Well, you don't have to, but we certainly prefer it, and we think you will too if you give it a try! Attimo means "in the moment", and we want the moment you spend with us to be special and relaxing.  We are more than happy to pour for you at the bar, if you really prefer to stand, or you are in a hurry.

Can I bring a picnic?
Yes, certainly.  However, when our kitchen is open with our cafe menu Thursday-Sunday, these picnics are only allowed outside.  Monday-Wednesday, we have pre-packaged picnics, and you may bring your own food and eat it inside on these days.

Do you give tours of the vineyard & winery operations?
Yes, we do.  Tours are $5/person and are offered on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.  Please call in advance to schedule these to assure proper staff during these times. Please pay for your tour at the register before the tour begins.

Can I bring my dog?
Well, no. We love dogs, and actually have 2 border collies here in the vineyard to keep deer & other critters out. However, the Va Dept of Health & our insurance company do not allow other animals, since it puts us at a risk if anything were to occur.

What are your Hours of Operation?
We are open 7 days/ week.  Monday - Thursday 11am - 6pm; Fridays 11am - 8pm (most of the time, please check the calendar for exceptions); Saturday 11am - 6pm; and Sunday 1pm - 6pm.

Can I Volunteer?
We are always looking for people that want to help out. However, for insurance purposes, you must be paid in some way by Attimo Winery. Talk to us about what you'd like to do!

What are the Tasting Fees?
Our Standard Tasting is $5.00 for up to 8 wines (Attimo's choice), You can taste more (Reserve Tasting ) for $1.00/Reserve Wine Sample (up to 4), or less (Limited Tasting – up to 5 wines) for $3.00.

Where do you make the wine?
All of our wine is made on-site.

Where do the grapes come from?
Properties that we own & lease. We have 11 acres of vines here, and additional acreage in other parts of Virginia that we own or lease.

Do you have a license for music, TV & Movies?
Yes we do.

How long does a Wine Tasting take?
That varies significantly. However, we can do a tasting in as little as 10 minutes or as long as an hour. Let your server know if you have time constraints or if you prefer to space it out a bit.

Who cooks the food?
Many different people work in the kitchen, so it depends on the day. Melissa & Rik work with food prep staff to plan the food menus and recipes for each event. And don't be surprised if Melissa or Rik are actually IN the kitchen some days.

Do you take Credit Cards?
Sure do.

Where can you ship?
Each State has different rules that must be followed, and different fees. However, we can ship to many states, so give us a call to see if we can help you out.
